Policies & Procedures

Payment Policies

  1. Payment is due 2 weeks before the first lesson of each new session. This would be week 6 of the current session.
  2. Registration fees are due during you child's yearly anniversary month.
  3. A 10% late payment fee will be assessed if your tuition payment is not received by the start of new session.
  4. Your child will not be allowed to participate in class if your account is in arrears.
  5. Students are automatically enrolled and will be billed for the next session. Payment will be due unless JSG is notified by submitting an official drop slip 2 weeks in advance of the new session.
  6. Please write child’s name on your check.
  7. Pro-rated fees are not allowed except in case of extended illness or injury. A doctor's note is required.
  8. Pro-rated fees will be offered for closures due to weather or holidays. You will be informed when such pro-rates are in effect.
  9. Family discount/multiple class discount policy - A 15% discount is given to families with more than one child taking classes or with a child participating in two classes per week.
  10. Absence Policy- JSG must be notified of an absence 24 hours in advance for a make-up class to be offered.
  11. Only two make-ups per session are allowed at JSG. This is a courtesy we provide for our students. Make-ups can only be used if the student account is not in arrears for either tuition or yearly registration fee. A make-up will be provided at the mutual convenience of the parents and Jump Start Gymnastics. MAKE-UPS ARE NOT IN THE LIEU OF TUITION
  12. It is the responsibility of the parent to keep the Jump Start Gymnastics office staff informed of any name, address, telephone, or Email changes. This is very important so we have a current emergency contact on file at all times.

Gym Procedures

  1. We require that parents, siblings and visitors wait and observe from the seating/viewing area. For safety purposes, spectators must refrain from communicating with participants during class or event time.
  2. Adults involved in “Parent-Tot” gymnastics class are permitted on the floor during class times. Parents in these programs must sign additional waivers.
  3. Use of the equipment without directions from an instructor is prohibited.
  4. Every class begins with a warm-up period. This warm-up time is important and necessary for every student and, if done correctly, will help prevent injuries. Therefore, if your child arrives late for class or misses any portion of the warm-up, he/she will not be allowed to join the class and no make-up lesson be provided.
  5. Remind your child to tell the instructor if they need to use the restroom or feel sick. (Parents of preschool age children please accompany your child to the restroom.)
  6. Wearing the correct attire to class is important. Students' clothing should be comfortable and permit a full range of motion. Shorts/pants worn to gymnastics must have an elastic waist without snaps or zippers and all shirts must be long enough to stay tucked in. Leotards (without skirts attached) are preferred for girls taking gymnastics. Gymnastics students are to participate barefoot. Jewelry, belts, and any other clothing accessories may not be worn at any time.
  7. Hair must be pulled back away from the students' face.
  8. It is the parent or guardians' responsibility, not the responsibility of Jump Start Gymnastics, to supervise the student before and after class. Students may not be in the facility or parking lot unsupervised.
  9. For the safety of everyone involved, animals are prohibited in the Jump Start Gymnastics facility. (Guide dogs permitted)
  10. Photography is prohibited.
  11. Arrive at least 5 minutes prior to class so you can help your child get prepared for learning. Also, take them to the restroom before class.
  12. Prior to the start of each class, students should sit patiently in the viewing area until they are called for class.
  13. Please do not send your child to class with a fever, running nose or cough. We would regret exposing our students to any illness while in our facility.
  14. Jump Start Gymnastics is very fortunate to have a qualified staff. We make every effort to maintain the same coaching schedule. However, occasionally students will have a different teacher. All the staff members utilize lesson plans, but each coach has his or her own style. Please help your child adjust to a new coach if this occurs.
  15. If you are going to be more than 15 minutes late, please call in advance. Students may not be allowed to take the class if they are late. This is for safety and left to the coach's discretion.
  16. If your child is the only one who shows up for a regular class, the class may be shortened.
  17. Private lessons must be paid for in advance with the front office staff. If you have scheduled a private class, we have an instructor come to Jump Start Gymnastics just for you; therefore, we need 24 hours notice of cancellation or you will be required to pay for the missed lesson.
  18. If the class you requested is full and we cannot accommodate you in any of our other classes, your child will be placed on a waiting list. We will contact you when there is availability in the class. Our scheduled classes may change during the year. It may be necessary to provide our clientele with new scheduling to meet changing needs.
  19. Jump Start Gymnastics is not responsible for lost or stolen items within or outside the facility. All valuables should be left at home. Lost and found items will be brought to the main office area and kept for one week before being donated or disposed of.
  20. No food, drinks, or gum are allowed in the workout area. Smoking, alcoholic beverages, and glass containers are prohibited in or around the facility.
  21. Profane language is strictly prohibited.

  23. Anyone loitering will be asked to leave.
  24. Jump Start Gymnastics reserves the right to refuse/revoke membership to anyone for any reason.
